Protect MPHA Staff and Residents: Donate Your Handmade Masks!

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently issued guidance recommending the use of cloth masks in public settings. Wearing a cloth mask can slow the spread of the virus and help lower transmitting the virus for those who may be a potential carrier. While many essential workers are in need of protective face wear, supplies are low. MPHA faces the same challenge, even as we work with elderly and other vulnerable populations.

In this unprecedented time of need, MPHA employees remain committed to our essential, low-income housing mission and the families we serve. By donating handmade or other protective masks, you can help support MPHA employees who are continuing their regular work in our public housing buildings, and MPHA public housing residents who will use them to stay safe in their daily life and to protect our staff when they must enter units to do work. Since this campaign launched, MPHA has already received many generous donations to help protect our staff. We are now assuring that any additional donations are reaching residents who need them.
