During the June 24th Minneapolis Public Housing Authority (MPHA) Board of Commissioners meeting, Todd Berryman of CenterPoint Energy (center) presented MPHA Deputy Executive Director of Facilities and Development, Emilio Bettaglio (right) and Senior Project Manager, Tim Gaetz (left) with a rebate check for $24,500 for the Agency’s recent installation of variable frequency drives (VFDs). In addition, representatives of Xcel Energy and the Center for Energy and the Environment were on hand with a $75,000 rebate for exterior LED lighting at our highrise buildings. Energy-savings devices help save MPHA tens of thousands of dollars per year in reduced energy bills. Thanks to our utility partners and our ongoing commitment, MPHA has become a national leader in energy efficiency in the public housing sector.
