Food Resources
There are several organizations that run food shelves throughout Hennepin County. Minnesota FoodShare’s website provides a searchable list of food shelves throughout Minnesota and the Handbook of the Streets website is a great resource as well.
Resources are organized by the “Community” that matches your neighborhood. If you are unsure which neighborhood you live in, this map from the City of Minneapolis will help.

Calhoun Isle Community
This includes the following neighborhoods: Bryn-Mawr, CARAG, Cedar-isle-Dean, East Isles, ECCO, Kenwood, Lowry Hill East, and West Calhoun.
Central Community
This includes the following neighborhoods: Downtown East, Downtown West, Elliot Park, Loring Park, North Loop, and Stevens Square/Loring Heights.
Near North Community
This includes the following neighborhoods: Harrison, Hawthorne, Jordan, Near-north, and Sumner-Glenwood.
Nokomis Community
This includes the following neighborhoods: Diamond Lake, Ericsson, Field, Hale, Keewaydin, Minnehaha, Morris Park, Northrop, Page, Regina, and Wenonah.
Northeast Community
This includes the following neighborhoods: Audubon Park, Beltrami, Bottineau, Columbia Park, Holland, Logan Park, Marshall Terrace, Northeast Park, Sheridan, St. Anthony West, St. Anthony East, Waite Park, and Windom Park.
Phillips Community
This includes the following neighborhoods: East Phillips, Midtown Phillips, Phillips West, and Ventura Village.
Powderhorn Community
This includes the following neighborhoods: Bancroft, Bryant, Central, Corcoran, Lyndale, Powderhorn Park, Standish, and Whitter.
Southwest Community
This includes the following neighborhoods: Armatage, East Harriet, Fulton, Kenny, King Field, Linden Hills, Lynnhurst, Tangletown, and Windom.
University Community
This includes the following neighborhoods: Cedar-Riverside, Como, Marcy Holmes, Mid-City industrial, Nicollet Island/East Bank, Prospect Park, and University.
