MPHA is one of only 39 agencies in the country that has something called Moving to Work (MTW) status. This status allows us flexibility in how we run our programs and policies, and we are constantly looking for areas to improve. We know we can do better—our program is big and serves many people in many different situations—and we would love your partnership in determining how we can improve.

Below is a brief description of things we have changed in the past based on your feedback. We have also included a survey below where you could suggest the next great improvement to our programs!

You spoke and MPHA listened!

  • Based upon feedback from property owners, we changed the date we can start providing a subsidy from the only the 15th or 1st of the month to any day the unit passes inspection, the participant has possession of the unit, and the participant has fulfilled their previous lease agreement.

  • In response to property owners, we streamlined the turn-around time to request initial inspections. Our initial process required an appointment before the inspection, and we started to allow “walk ins” and email requests to move the process along.
