What Are Lunch & Learns?

HCV Lunch and Learns at MPHA are hour-long, virtual webinars that provide HCV Partners, Landlords, Participants, and Staff with the opportunity to learn more about the program, processes, and resources in the community.

Lunch and Learns typically every month except the summer months. Generally, lunch and learns will be held once per month, and on the third Wednesday of the month. Each session has its own registration link, all of which can be found below!

While you are more than welcome to log in and just listen, all of our sessions are more informative and enjoyable with participation from the audience. Please come with questions to ask. All questions can be asked anonymously.

If you missed a Lunch and Learn you wanted to see, or if you want to see the Lunch and Learns we did in the past, just head over to our Lunch and Learn playlist.

Please Note: Lunch and Learns that were previously recorded may have information in them that is no longer current or correct. If you have any questions about these, simply reach out to Lunch and Learn Team via email.

If you have any questions, concerns, or comments about the Lunch and Learn series, please reach out to hcvlunchandlearn@mplspha.org.

This was a very special Lunch and Learn. Usually, MPHA only has one Lunch and Learn in any given month. However, this information was too important to wait to share. Additional Materials and/or Resources:

This Lunch and Learn included presentations from Community Action Partnership – Hennepin County and the United Way’s 211.

The topic for November was changed due to scheduling issues! The HCV Inspections team  presented on everything Inspections related. If you have any questions about HCV Inspections, make sure to take a moment and watch!

The Office of the Minnesota Attorney General presented on the new state-wide tenant and landlord legislation, most of which took effect on 1/1/24.

Additional Materials and/or Resources:

Jessica Delcid, Jake Feneis, and Pat Donohue from the Minnesota Department of Revenue present on Certificates of Rent Paid: when they need to be completed, how to complete them, and more.

4 of our HCV Technicians present on the entire process for a general Housing Choice Voucher, from RTA to Vacate.

Additional Materials and/or Resources:

Have some lunch and learn about fair housing practices and resources in Minneapolis.
